yes it was. I mean it was certainly a product of its time and it has a few shining moments...but yes. It’s a bad movie.

The first three movies were actually good, quality entertainment. I see that as the trilogy that matters. After that was complete bullshit but I still enjoyed all of them but for a completely different reason. Tokyo Drift is by far my favorite but something about the first two always makes me smile. The first one because of the cars. The second one because Roman is my favorite character and he is one of the main guys in that one.

I’ve read that the Rock line you are referring to was completely on the fly from the Rock, it wasn’t in the script.

I’ve heard that too. I love Luda’s reaction even more now because of that.

I much prefer it to Fasts 6, 7, and 8 which all went downhill faster than any car in this franchise. Fight me,
Dwayne
.
At least Tyrese Gibson was able to play a character with charisma in 2Fast , as opposed to the one-dimensional comic relief he was relegated to in later movies. Yes, the cars were all neon-covered crap, but I prefer over-the-top street racing and oceans of stickers on the cars to the Vin Diesel/The Rock/Jason Statham-ised take on the absolute worst moments of the James Bond franchise.
